Robert studied at the University of Manchester, qualifying in 2001. After working in Birmingham, he moved to New Zealand and taught Dentistry for two years at the University of Otago, Dunedin. Returning to the UK, he worked in General Practice in Cambridge for 6 years prior to his move to the South Hams. He now works 4 days a week at Mill Street and 1 day at the Peninsula Dental School as a Clinical Supervisor.
In 2013 Rob completed an MSc in Implant Dentistry at the University of Warwick and was awarded his MFGDP. In 2017 gained his PG Cert in clinical education from the University of Plymouth and is a fellow of higher education academy.
Away from the practice, Rob is a keen runner and cyclist. He has completed the Lands End to John O’Groats cycle ride for the charity Dentaid and Mizen to Malin cycle ride (South to North Ireland) for the Chemotherapy Outreach Project. He’s also run the Queenstown and Amsterdam marathons. Rob recently cycled London to Paris in 24 hours for the second time
